I was not a patient and did not know Dr Nelson, yet he took me on as a new patient after I had a horrible cycling accident and lost most of my upper teeth. He spent the next year helping me explore my options, often coming in early and staying late to fit me in. His compassion and dedication to helping me, a complete stranger, recover from this ordeal touched me deeply. His staff (who are also amazing, helpful and friendly) tell me that this is how he is with all his patients. I highly recommend this place to everyone!
After seeing a dentist who didn't seem to have great skills and a few dentists who seemed to want me to go into debt for unnecessary dental care, I have finally found a dentist who has fair prices, is very open and careful with insurance estimates, and above all provides top notch care. Both Dr. Emily and Dr. Nelson are very kind, gentle, and easy to talk to. The hygienists I've seen are also the same. I'm very happy and my anxieties about dentists are almost non-existent now. Also I should mention I live in Chicago and travel out to Elmhurst because they are that good.
